Africa Data Centres, part of pan-African technology group Cassava Technologies, has entered into a commercial partnership with enterprise IT provider Blue Turtle Technologies to deliver colocation and private cloud services in its Cape Town and Midrand data centres. The initiative is set to enhance South Africa’s digital infrastructure, offering secure, scalable, and compliant hosting environments for local enterprises.
Under the agreement, Blue Turtle will deploy multiple racks across both data centre locations, giving its clients access to high-performance infrastructure suited to modern business needs. The offering includes secure colocation and private cloud services, enabling organisations to move away from legacy on-premises environments and accelerate their digital transformation efforts.
“This partnership allows us to provide trusted cloud and colocation solutions in two of the most important data centre hubs in South Africa,” said Jan Hitge, Business Development Manager, Managed Services at Blue Turtle Technologies. “As more enterprises seek secure and scalable alternatives, we are confident in strong market demand—reflected in the fast deployment timelines we’ve committed to.”
The collaboration supports South African enterprises in meeting growing regulatory requirements, particularly around data protection and privacy under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). In addition to compliance, the infrastructure offers low-latency connectivity and disaster recovery support, critical for modernising IT operations and protecting business continuity.
Adil El Youssefi, CEO of Africa Data Centres, said: “This partnership is about more than infrastructure. It’s about enabling meaningful digital transformation across South Africa. With their strong enterprise relationships and agility, Blue Turtle is an ideal partner as we work to deliver secure, resilient, and future-ready cloud ecosystems. This is just the beginning—we see opportunities to extend this collaboration to edge computing and AI workloads in the future.”
The agreement marks another step in Africa Data Centres’ efforts to expand its impact across the continent, helping position South Africa as a growing hub for advanced digital services. By working with trusted partners like Blue Turtle, the company aims to support enterprise evolution and unlock the next phase of Africa’s cloud-driven growth.
