Mauritius-founded startup expands simulation capabilities and AI copilot technology to serve global brands with real-time consumer insights

Founded in 2018, Rwazi operates across Africa and three additional continents, helping teams make data-driven decisions through real-time AI-powered analytics.

Rwazi, an AI-powered market intelligence platform originally established in Mauritius, has completed a $12 million Series A funding round aimed at accelerating the development of its simulation engine and decision copilot technology. The platform provides global brands with comprehensive consumer data analytics, offering real-time visibility into market changes, strategic recommendations, and outcome predictions.

Since its 2018 founding, the company has evolved from its African roots to establish a global presence spanning four continents. Rwazi's core offering centers on zero-party consumer data collection, enabling brands to understand purchasing behaviors, pricing dynamics, location preferences, timing patterns, and consumer motivations. This intelligence infrastructure helps organizations drive revenue growth and market expansion strategies.

The platform operates through mobile and web applications that facilitate consumer participation in data sharing, capturing insights on both online and offline purchasing behaviors as well as in-home product usage patterns. This approach allows Rwazi to build comprehensive datasets that reflect actual consumer experiences rather than traditional market research methodologies.

Joseph Rutakangwa, co-founder and CEO of Rwazi, emphasized the shift from intuition-based decision-making to data-driven strategies. "For decades, decisions have been driven by instinct. But gut calls are expensive – and in today's market, they're dangerous," Rutakangwa explained. "This raise lets us put a real-time AI copilot in the hands of every decision-maker – so teams can move faster, smarter, and with total clarity."

The Series A investment will specifically target three key development areas: deepening the platform's simulation capabilities, expanding global data infrastructure, and enhancing the AI copilot's contextual analysis and recommendation features across various business functions. These improvements are designed to provide more sophisticated predictive analytics and strategic guidance for enterprise clients.

Rutakangwa further noted the competitive advantage that data-driven decision-making provides in current market conditions. "Gut instinct might've worked when things moved slowly. But today, the teams that win are the ones with systems that see early and act fast," he stated. "That's exactly what we're building."

The funding round positions Rwazi to compete more effectively in the growing market intelligence sector, where organizations increasingly require real-time consumer insights to navigate rapidly changing market conditions and consumer preferences across global markets.
