BFA Asset Management has channeled capital through the Kimbo Fund to scale ANDA’s logistics infrastructure and integrate electric vehicles into its regional transport network.

Angolan mobility startup ANDA has received a $1.2 million investment from BFA Asset Management to expand its specialized "drive-to-own" transport model. This capital injection, facilitated via the Kimbo Fund, follows a previous $3.4 million seed round supported by international venture capital firms including Breega and Speedinvest.

Founded in 2022, ANDA operates an integrated system for two and three-wheeled vehicle operators, providing asset financing alongside technical training and roadside assistance at designated service points. The company’s primary function is to formalize urban transport by transitioning informal drivers into a structured economic framework.

The new funding is designated for the procurement of modern vehicles and the strategic introduction of electric models to the current fleet. Additionally, ANDA intends to enhance its logistics capabilities to serve a broader range of business clients. Sergio Tati, co-founder of ANDA, noted that the investment supports the growth of a multi-asset fleet and the implementation of new technology. Tati stated that the company plans to utilize artificial intelligence to manage its expanding customer base and improve service delivery at scale.

BFA Asset Management, which oversees $600 million in assets, reached the investment decision following a three-year due diligence process involving the analysis of transaction records and stakeholder interviews. Rui Oliveira, CEO of BFA Asset Management, indicated that the move aligns with a strategy to back sectors with high growth potential, such as transport and logistics. According to Oliveira, the Kimbo Fund targets segments where traditional financing is often limited but data suggests scalable value.

By combining local institutional capital with international venture backing, the partnership aims to stabilize the mobility sector through increased operational discipline. ANDA’s model relies on a fintech-enabled approach to asset management, allowing drivers to eventually own their vehicles through consistent service. This latest financial support provides the necessary resources to scale this infrastructure across Angola while reinforcing the logistics network required for sustainable urban movement.
