Argility Technology Group appoints new head of technology

Koteswara Rao Muppavarapu takes on the role with a focus on innovation, scalability, and aligning IT with business goals.

Koteswara Rao Muppavarapu has been appointed as the new Head of Technology at Argility Technology Group (ATG), a South African-based enterprise software developer and technology solutions provider. A long-standing team member, he joined the company in 2017 as a solutions architect and now takes on a broader leadership role, overseeing cross-functional IT projects and the strategic direction of solution architecture.

With a career in IT and software development that began in 2007, Koteswara has built a strong foundation in designing scalable systems and leading technology initiatives that support business transformation. His track record includes key contributions to projects such as MultiTRAX, VASUp, and WMS.

“My time as a solution architect was both technically and personally rewarding. It allowed me to design scalable solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead meaningful initiatives across our product landscape,” he said. “I’ve also had the opportunity to mentor engineers and help build a culture that values agility and innovation.”

According to CIO South Africa, which first reported the news, Koteswara is known for aligning technology strategy with business outcomes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. In his new role, he aims to lead with curiosity, adaptability, and clarity, especially in a fast-changing digital landscape.

He also holds several industry certifications, including Google Cloud Professional Architect, Google Workspace Administrator, and Chrome OS Professional Administrator. Looking ahead, he plans to apply this expertise to deliver people-centric, future-ready technology solutions across the group.
