Two of Africa’s leading data centre providers, Digital Parks Africa (DPA) and iXAfrica Data Centres, have announced a strategic partnership designed to expand the reach of digital infrastructure across the continent.
The collaboration links DPA’s established presence in Southern Africa with iXAfrica’s hyperscale operations in Kenya, enabling enterprises and multinational clients to operate seamlessly between the two regions. Through a unified service framework, customers can now access integrated data, cloud, and connectivity solutions supported by local expertise.
By combining their ecosystems, both companies aim to simplify cross-border digital operations, a critical advantage as Africa experiences rapid cloud adoption and growing demand for AI-ready environments. The partnership will also help businesses move data and workloads more efficiently while maintaining compliance and performance standards.
“This partnership is about building the foundation for a connected digital Africa,” said Snehar Shah, CEO of iXAfrica. “Together, we’re enabling companies to expand confidently into new markets, backed by the same level of reliability and resilience they expect from leading global facilities.”
For Digital Parks Africa, the alliance reflects a broader vision of technological sovereignty and collaboration across the continent.
“Our goal has always been to provide world-class infrastructure that supports Africa’s growth from within,” said Wiaan Vermaak, Group CCO at DPA. “Partnering with iXAfrica allows us to extend that capability beyond national borders, helping shape a future where African businesses lead digital innovation.”
The move comes at a pivotal time. With AI models, cloud workloads, and digital services driving exponential data growth, the demand for secure, scalable, and interconnected data centres is rising sharply. By joining forces, DPA and iXAfrica are positioning themselves at the heart of this transformation, enabling enterprises, governments, and hyperscalers to harness Africa’s digital potential.
