New domain-based tool turns a single branded link into a lightweight digital hub, offering a homegrown alternative to international link-in-bio services.

South African domain and hosting provider Domains.co.za, a long-standing player in the country’s digital infrastructure and web services market, has rolled out a new domain-based “link in bio” platform designed to help individuals and businesses centralise their online presence through a single branded web address.

The tool allows users to direct audiences from social media profiles to a custom page hosted on their own domain, bringing together social channels, promotions and key content in one place. Instead of relying on third-party platforms, the company positions the solution as a locally built alternative that gives users greater ownership of their digital footprint.

As brands and creators increasingly operate across multiple social networks, the challenge of sharing more than one destination link has become a common friction point. Domains.co.za says its approach aims to turn a traditional domain name into a functional digital hub that can act both as a landing page and a simplified website, without the need for separate hosting or development.

“Our view has always been that a domain name is the foundation of a brand’s online identity,” said Wayne Diamond, founder and chief executive of Domains.co.za. “What we’re doing now is extending that idea, so the domain isn’t just the starting point, but the central place where content, connections and audience engagement come together.”

Unlike many global link-in-bio services that operate as standalone platforms, the company’s model is built directly on a registered domain, which it says provides users with stronger branding, local support and clearer control over how their online presence is structured and discovered. The service is offered as an annual add-on to an existing domain, priced in local currency.

The company sees potential demand across a wide range of use cases, from content creators and small businesses to schools, community organisations and sports teams looking for a simple way to present information and links without building a full website.

With the launch, Domains.co.za continues to expand its portfolio beyond traditional hosting and registration services, positioning itself as a broader digital services provider for South Africa’s growing online economy.
