Duplo and Ozow integrate payment processing with back-office financial management for South African businesses

The partnership connects Ozow's EFT payment infrastructure to Duplo's financial operations platform, automating invoice reconciliation at the point of payment and reducing manual data entry

Duplo, a financial operations platform that automates invoicing, reconciliation and expense management for businesses, has integrated with Ozow, a South African payment gateway that processes instant electronic funds transfer payments. The integration connects incoming payments through Ozow directly to invoice matching within the Duplo dashboard in real time.

Ozow provides EFT payment processing to businesses across South Africa, with clients including Takealot, Mr D Food and Superbalist. The gateway handles the payment transaction layer, enabling customers to pay merchants quickly through bank-authenticated transfers without card details. Duplo operates on the back-office side, giving finance teams a centralised platform to manage accounts receivable, vendor payouts, corporate spending and financial reporting.

The integration addresses a gap that exists when payment processing and financial administration run on separate systems. When a payment is received through Ozow, it is automatically matched to the corresponding invoice in Duplo, removing the manual step of cross-referencing transactions against records. The company says this reduces manual data entry by up to 90%. The platform also provides visibility into outgoing payments and expenses within the same interface.
