Skills development organization HyperionDev has launched HyperDev, a generative AI coding platform that converts plain language descriptions into running code. The tool is designed to build complete software applications, encompassing front-end interfaces, back-end logic, databases, and third-party integrations for products like business automation tools, e-commerce platforms, and productivity apps.

The platform was developed by a team including former researchers from OpenAI and Google. Piotr Sobolewski, who previously worked on ChatGPT at OpenAI, serves as CTO, alongside Riaz Moola, who worked on language models for Google Search. According to information retrieved firsthand from the news portal ITWeb Africa, HyperDev targets a global audience of entrepreneurs, founders, and technology professionals, aiming to transition projects from the concept phase to production-ready software.

HyperDev generates code step-by-step through structured workflows that include validation checks and testing mechanisms, rather than producing a single block of output. Users describe their intended software, and large language models structure the architecture and guide the development process. The platform also integrates with developer tools like GitHub to enable version control, monitoring, and rollback capabilities for deployed projects.

A core feature of the platform is "Guided Mode," an assistive layer that monitors the generated code, troubleshoots bugs, and suggests fixes to sections of the program. Anton Moulder, Chief Product Officer at HyperDev, stated that the system includes a fallback option where users can request assistance from certified human developers if debugging or maintenance requires intervention.

HyperDev enters a market alongside platforms such as GitHub Copilot, FlutterFlow, and Convex Chef. Version 1 is currently available for free on the company’s website, with paid subscription tiers for extended usage. The company is currently seeking partnerships with developers, enterprises, and investors to scale the platform globally.
