Secure Anywhere combines Ivanti endpoint management with WatchGuard network security to replace VPN-based access with continuous compliance verification across mobile and desktop devices

Knovation Solutions, a South African IT security and infrastructure company, has launched Secure Anywhere, a product that ties network access directly to the real-time security status of each device connecting to an organisation's systems. The product is designed to address a specific gap that persists in many corporate environments: endpoint management tools detect when a device becomes compromised, but the network access controls do not act on that information, allowing the device to remain connected.

The problem centres on how most organisations handle remote and hybrid access. Traditional VPN connections authenticate a user once at the start of a session and then grant broad access to corporate resources for the duration of that connection. If the device is compromised after authentication, through malware, a configuration change or a failed security update, the VPN typically does not reassess whether access should continue. The device stays connected with the same permissions it had before the compromise occurred.

Secure Anywhere replaces that model with what Knovation describes as continuous posture-based access control. The system checks device compliance on an ongoing basis throughout the session, not just at login, and automatically revokes access if the device falls out of compliance. This applies to both desktop and mobile devices, with mobile security embedded directly rather than requiring a separate VPN application.

"Most organisations believe they are secure because their devices are managed and their perimeter is protected," said William Hardie, Managing Director at Knovation Solutions. "But the reality is that access is still being granted based on outdated trust models. Secure Anywhere removes that blind spot entirely."

The architecture integrates two technology stacks. Ivanti handles unified endpoint management, secure access and mobile threat defence. WatchGuard provides network perimeter security, identity protection, DNS filtering, and endpoint protection, detection and response. By consolidating these functions into two integrated platforms rather than multiple separate vendors, the product also aims to reduce the operational complexity and cost that comes with managing a fragmented security environment.

On the compliance side, the system generates audit-ready evidence in real time, supporting frameworks used in South African financial services and broader international standards including POPIA, JS2 FSP, ISO 27001 and NIST CSF 2.0. For organisations operating in regulated industries, this means compliance visibility is built into the access control process rather than assembled separately after the fact.

Knovation positions the product not as a full replacement of an organisation's existing security infrastructure but as a targeted addition that closes the gap between what endpoint tools detect and what network controls enforce. The company delivers and supports the combined architecture as a single accountable partner.
