Liquid C2, a business unit of Cassava Technologies, has achieved Platinum Partner status with cybersecurity company Sophos, reaching the highest tier in the vendor's partner program. The designation enables the African technology provider to deliver managed security services across the continent through a subscription-based model.
The partnership expansion allows Liquid C2 to offer cybersecurity solutions through monthly billing arrangements, removing the requirement for large upfront investments. The company operates as a Managed Service Provider Partner across Africa, delivering security services to businesses throughout the region.
According to Oswald Jumira, Chief Executive Officer of Liquid C2, the partnership addresses growing cybersecurity challenges facing African businesses. "As African businesses grow and evolve, they are exposed to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats," Jumira said. "Being awarded Sophos Platinum Partner status reflects our determination to protect and empower these organisations as they navigate Africa's digital future."
The announcement comes as cybercrime costs in Africa exceed $4 billion annually, highlighting the need for enhanced security measures across the continent. The partnership aims to provide businesses with enterprise-grade security solutions tailored to local threat landscapes.
Pieter Nel, Sales Director for SADC & IOC at Sophos, noted the significance of the partnership tier. "Platinum Partner status recognises an organisation's deep expertise and commitment to cyber security solutions and services tailored to African enterprises," Nel said.
Under the expanded partnership, Liquid C2 will provide 24/7 managed detection and response services through its Security Operations Centers, along with consulting, implementation services aligned with international standards, and ongoing managed security support.
The partnership strengthens Liquid C2's position in the African cybersecurity market as businesses across the continent continue digital transformation initiatives while facing evolving security threats.
