Odoo and iData have formalized a strategic partnership following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on January 30, 2026. The agreement connects iData's IoT hardware portfolio with Odoo's ERP platform, targeting manufacturing, logistics, retail, and supply chain operations in the Chinese market.
Odoo is an open-source ERP provider with more than 16 million users worldwide. Its modular architecture allows businesses to adopt and expand specific functions, such as inventory, finance, and sales, without replacing existing systems. The company's latest release, Odoo 19, includes updates to backend processing, interface navigation, and workflow automation designed to support high-volume operations.
iData develops and manufactures data collection hardware, including industrial PDAs, barcode scanners, and RFID readers. The company reports an installed base of more than one million active devices across logistics, manufacturing, retail, and public services sectors globally.
Under the partnership, iData's terminals will capture operational data at the point of activity, warehouse floors, production lines, retail counters, which is then processed within Odoo's platform to support inventory control, order management, and reporting.
"This partnership with iData is a step in Odoo's work to build out our local ecosystem. The combination of Odoo's management system and iData's hardware gives Chinese enterprises a more connected operational environment, with direct impact on accuracy and productivity.", said Matts Fievez, APAC Director, Odoo.
"iData's data collection terminals capture frontline information, while Odoo's software processes it into business intelligence. Together, we give customers access to capabilities that neither company delivers independently.", said Hammer Wang, Director, iData
