Acumatica releases 2025 R2 with AI automation and interface updates

Cloud ERP provider launches semi-annual update featuring redesigned user interface, configurable AI workflows, and industry-specific enhancements. Acumatica Cloud ERP has announced the general availability of its 2025 R2 release, which includes updated usability features, AI-powered automation tools, and industry-specific functionality for mid-market businesses. This represents Acumatica's second semi-annual product update for 2025.

Ali Jani, chief product officer at Acumatica, stated that the release aims to help businesses operate with increased adaptability and intelligence. The update includes capabilities designed to enable users to work with greater operational efficiency.

The release makes Acumatica's redesigned user interface available to all customers. Developed over multiple release cycles with customer input, the interface allows users to customize screens including fields, tabs, and layouts to align with their workflow requirements. Teams can personalize their working environment based on operational needs.

The 2025 R2 release includes AI Studio automation capabilities that were introduced at Summit 2025. The system uses large language models to enable business users and partners to configure automated workflows without coding requirements. Once established, these automations can be activated within business workflows to update records and manage repetitive processes.

The Construction Edition includes a Project 360 Dashboard and project document management system providing real-time project visibility and collaboration tools. The Distribution Edition features Order Orchestration for automated warehouse selection and AI-assisted product recommendation capabilities to support sales processes and fulfillment operations. The Manufacturing Edition offers enhanced scheduling views and improved lot and serial traceability features for compliance and quality management requirements.

All Industry Editions now include vendor payment automation functionality, enabling finance teams to process payments without manual intervention. This capability aims to reduce processing errors and allow teams to allocate time to other business activities.
