Cassava Technologies, a pan-African technology company providing cloud, data centre and digital infrastructure services, has entered into a strategic partnership with Gebeya, a company focused on enabling Africa’s service and talent economy. Together, the organisations are launching Gebeya Dala, an AI-driven platform designed to help individuals across the continent turn ideas into digital products, no technical background required.
Built on Cassava’s AI-ready data centres and cloud infrastructure, Gebeya Dala is designed to remove long-standing technical barriers to digital creation. The platform targets Africa’s youth population and first-time creators, offering intuitive tools that allow users to build functional applications through simple, local-language prompts, as well as create comic and manga-style visual stories without formal artistic training.
The collaboration brings together Cassava’s secure, scalable GPU and cloud capabilities with Gebeya’s mission to unlock creativity and entrepreneurship at scale. A central pillar of the initiative is ensuring that AI innovation remains locally grounded, with all data processing and model training taking place within Africa to support data sovereignty, regulatory compliance and reduced latency.
According to the partners, Gebeya Dala reflects a broader ambition to make artificial intelligence accessible, culturally relevant and inclusive. By enabling people—from students and small business owners to storytellers—to create and innovate using AI, the initiative seeks to strengthen Africa’s digital economy and empower local talent to build solutions for both local and global markets.
