Cybersecurity distributor Cyberrey has joined forces with BDO South Africa Advisory Services in a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing cyber resilience throughout the African continent. By uniting Cyberrey’s threat detection capabilities with BDO’s extensive experience in risk management and compliance, the two firms seek to offer tailored solutions to help organisations respond more effectively to an increasingly complex threat landscape.

The collaboration is designed to deliver cybersecurity services that are customised to the operational and regulatory challenges of African businesses. At the core of the offering is a suite of proactive tools, including live breach monitoring for real-time threat detection, supply chain and third-party risk assessments, and continuous gap analysis using DNSSight’s DNS visibility technology.

“This alliance represents a significant step forward in our mission to deliver comprehensive cyber security solutions tailored to the African market,” said Abdullah Kaymakci, Head of Business Development and Channel Strategy at Cyberrey. “By combining BDO’s deep industry knowledge with our cutting-edge technologies, we aim to empower organisations to stay one step ahead of evolving threats.”

BDO South Africa contributes its decades-long expertise in governance, compliance, and risk frameworks, helping clients strengthen their operations while aligning with international cybersecurity standards.

“In the face of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, it is crucial to collaborate with strategic partners like Cyberrey,” noted Brett Marais, National Head of Cyber Solutions and Managed Services at BDO. “This partnership enhances our cyber security technology and managed services portfolio, enabling us to better support our clients in mitigating their overall risk exposures.”

The joint effort also highlights a shared commitment to practical, results-oriented cybersecurity. “Our partnership with BDO Advisory Services reflects our shared vision of delivering value-added services that address the most pressing cyber security challenges facing African businesses today,” added Aadil Khan, Channel Director for Africa at Cyberrey. “Together, we offer a powerful combination of technology and advisory expertise that not only protects but also enables growth and operational efficiency.”

A key differentiator of the alliance is the integration of Cyberrey’s Live Breach Monitoring and Threat Intelligence platform. This solution delivers real-time insights into active threats, giving security teams the visibility they need to detect and respond to incidents as they happen. The result is reduced dwell time and a stronger security posture across endpoints and network environments.

DNSSight’s role in the partnership further boosts situational awareness by providing granular data on suspicious activity and network-level vulnerabilities. This capability enhances threat detection accuracy and speeds up incident response—two critical factors for organisations operating in regions where digital infrastructure resilience is essential.
