Accounting startup Fintura wins SA Startup World Cup, heads to Silicon Valley for global final.
South African company Fintura, a startup focused on accounting technology, won the national round of the Startup World Cup and will compete in San Francisco against regional finalists from around the world.
The competition, organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures, is one of the largest international pitch events, designed to connect early-stage businesses with global investors and industry representatives.
The South African edition gathered ten startups presenting their solutions before a panel of judges, with Fintura emerging as the selected representative. The company develops an artificial intelligence–based platform that consolidates accounting, compliance, and practice management functions into a single system. According to the company, the solution is currently used by 15 accounting firms and more than 1,500 of their clients.
The global final will take place later this year in Silicon Valley, where Fintura will compete for the chance to secure up to US$1 million in funding.
