Mambu, a global leader in SaaS cloud banking, has announced the launch of Mambu Payments, a new solution that brings modern, end-to-end payment capabilities to its composable banking platform. The new offering follows Mambu’s acquisition of French payments technology company Numeral in late 2024 and marks a strategic move to support financial institutions in modernising core systems beyond deposits and lending.
As banks and financial service providers navigate increasing pressure to deliver faster, more reliable, and compliant payment services, many are still reliant on fragmented legacy systems. Mambu Payments addresses this challenge by acting as a universal payment gateway that connects institutions to a broad network of clearing systems, partner banks, and global payment schemes. The platform allows full automation of payment workflows and integration with any existing core infrastructure using modern APIs.
This launch enables financial institutions to adopt a modular approach to innovation, choosing to start with payments or seamlessly integrate them alongside other banking services. Built with the same cloud-native, API-first architecture as Mambu’s core banking solution, Mambu Payments accelerates digital transformation and scalability.
Initial adoption of the new solution includes clients such as Western Union, Indexo Bank, and BCB Group, who are extending their long-standing collaboration with Mambu into the payments space.
The platform will be showcased at Money 20/20 Europe, where Mambu will present its expanded composable banking ecosystem to industry leaders, fintechs, and partners at booth #8B112.
“Mambu Payments brings the same qualities that made Mambu’s cloud banking platform the core of choice for forward-thinking financial institutions: cloud-native, API-first, and composable.Mambu supports more than 260 financial institutions globally, helping them to modernise and migrate from legacy technology to future-proof solutions. Financial institutions can now choose to start with deposits, lending, or payments and easily expand across the platform as their needs evolve.” Mark Geneste, chief revenue officer at Mambu.
