Nexio names Vaughn Naidoo as Chief Executive Officer

ICT sector veteran with two decades of experience in technology strategy and digital transformation to assume leadership role in January 2026

Nexio, an ICT services provider operating in South Africa, has announced the appointment of Vaughn Naidoo as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 2026.

Naidoo has over 20 years of experience in the ICT sector, with background in technology strategy, digital transformation, and operations. His career includes positions at MTN, Altron Systems Integration, Bytes Managed Solutions, Telkom, and BCX.

In his most recent role, he served as General Manager for Southern and Eastern Africa at MTN, managing strategic and financial performance across multiple markets and overseeing initiatives in IoT, cloud computing, unified communications, managed network services, and security. Naidoo also served as Acting Executive of MTN's ICT Centre of Excellence, managing partnerships and ICT infrastructure across the organization.

He holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of the Western Cape and is completing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, focusing on automation frameworks that combine robotic process automation and large language models.

Naidoo will assume responsibilities for Nexio's operations and strategic direction beginning in January 2026. The appointment follows Nexio's organizational planning for expanded service offerings and market presence in the ICT sector.
