REdimension Capital, a South African investment firm specializing in property technology ventures, has completed the final close of its REdimension Real Estate Technology & Sustainability Fund I. The fund secured total commitments exceeding ZAR250 million (US$10.5 million) to invest in early-stage companies developing technology solutions for the real estate sector.
The investment vehicle targets property technology companies that focus on innovation and sustainability in the built environment. The fund operates through a platform model designed to create value for real estate corporations, financial investors, and technology companies.
The second and final close brought new investors including Hyprop Investments, a South African real estate investment trust, and RDC Property Group, a property development company. Existing investors also increased their commitments to the fund. The investor base includes Burstone Group, Growthpoint Properties, Rand Merchant Bank, Liberty Two Degrees, and Sphere Holdings.
The fund provides portfolio companies with access to commercial partnerships, pilot opportunities, and strategic guidance beyond capital investment. This ecosystem approach aims to accelerate the development and market adoption of property technology solutions.
"We are grateful to our investors for their trust and support," said Peter Clark and Matthew Marshall, co-founders of REdimension Capital. "Their commitment has enabled us to position the fund as a catalyst for digital transformation in the property sector, and value creation for all stakeholders."
Since its first close in July 2023, the fund has built a portfolio spanning property, technology, and sustainability sectors. Current investments include Admyt, which provides ticketless parking and mobility solutions including Mallpass; RE-Tec Solutions, a tenant lifecycle and property management platform; The Good People Data Company, an onboarding, workflow, compliance, and data-as-a-service platform; Rode Publications & Media, a real estate market intelligence and analytics platform; and Roomking, a platform connecting landlords and tenants in the informal rental market.
The fund's completion reflects growing investor interest in property technology solutions in South Africa's real estate market. The platform approach aims to bridge the gap between traditional real estate operations and technology innovation through strategic partnerships and investment support.
