Sage announces new Sage Intacct Capabilities for finance teams

Sage, a provider of accounting, financial, HR, and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses, has announced new features for Sage Intacct. The updates introduce AI-based automation, integrated payment solutions, and sustainability data tools.
The additions aim to address challenges reported in Sage research, which found that 84% of finance leaders want to close books more quickly and 87% seek advanced accounts payable automation.
Key updates in Sage Intacct R3 2025 include:
Close automation and reconciliation
Subledger Reconciliation Assistant: Sage Copilot monitors subledger and general ledger balances, flags discrepancies, and provides drill-down views.
Close Workspace: Standardises month-end close using task templates, checklists, and ownership tracking, with real-time notifications from Sage Copilot.
Copilot Search Help: Context-aware, natural language help for product-related questions.
Accounts payable and procurement
Sage Vendor Payments powered by MineralTree: Embedded payments via ACH, check, or virtual card within Sage Intacct, with cash flow visibility and fraud risk reduction features.
AI-powered Line-level Matching: Matches invoice lines to purchase order lines, flags discrepancies, and supports faster approvals.
Sage Intacct eProcurement: Vendor punchout functionality for direct purchasing from vendor sites with automatic order data import.
Sustainability tools
Sage Earth Carbon Accounting: Provides UK customers with carbon footprint estimates based on industry and revenue data.
The new capabilities are available in varying regions and stages of release, including early access for certain markets.
