Salesforce completes informatica acquisition
Postado por Editorial em 24/11/2025 em NEWSTransaction adds data catalog, governance, integration, and Master Data Management services to Salesforce ecosystem for AI agent operations and enterprise data management

Salesforce, traded on NYSE under ticker CRM, has completed its acquisition of Informatica, a provider of cloud data management services. The transaction integrates Informatica's data catalog, integration, governance, quality and privacy controls, metadata management, and Master Data Management services into the Salesforce platform.
"You have to get your data right to get your AI right," said Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce. "Data and context is the true fuel of Agentforce, and without clean, connected, trusted data there is no intelligence – only hallucination. Informatica is the trusted platform that turns fragmented enterprise data into context, so every agent can reason, act, and deliver outcomes with precision. When companies get their data right, they get their AI right, and Agentforce becomes unstoppable."
"With Informatica, we will deliver a governed and complete data platform that powers more intelligent, contextual, and autonomous experiences across Agentforce 360 – the trusted system connecting humans and AI agents in the enterprise," said Steve Fisher, President and Chief Product Officer at Salesforce.
The acquisition affects multiple Salesforce platform components. Informatica's capabilities will integrate with Data 360, providing data unification and validation across organizations. MuleSoft, Salesforce's application integration and API management platform, will combine with Informatica's data integration and governance functions to create an integration offering for enterprise data and systems. Informatica's services will provide data infrastructure for AI agents operating on the Agentforce 360 platform. Tableau users will access data with additional context and lineage information through Informatica's metadata capabilities.
The acquisition expands Salesforce's metadata infrastructure beyond its native objects, fields, and relationships to include enterprise-wide metadata, context, and lineage across systems outside the Salesforce ecosystem. This metadata foundation provides data for AI operations across business functions.
Informatica will continue operations as part of Salesforce, maintaining its data management solutions and partner ecosystem integrations. Salesforce will integrate Informatica's technology stack, including data integration, quality controls, governance frameworks, and unified metadata for Agentforce, and Master Data Management on Data 360, into the Salesforce platform.
"Joining forces with Salesforce enables us to drastically accelerate our mission as the 'Switzerland' of AI-powered data management to help organizations unlock the full value of their data and AI," said Amit Walia, CEO of Informatica. "By integrating Informatica's data management capabilities and ecosystem integrations directly into the Agentforce 360 platform, businesses around the world can drive innovation, efficiency and growth by leveraging a single vendor that unites applications, trusted data and AI agents."
Salesforce stated during its Investor Day at Dreamforce that it expects to achieve accretion on non-GAAP operating margin and non-GAAP earnings per share within 12 months following the acquisition close, which is 12 months sooner than the timeline provided at the deal announcement.
The company will host its Third Quarter Fiscal 2026 Results Conference Call on December 3, 2025 after market close. Management will discuss financial results and the transaction's impact on fiscal 2026 financial guidance during the call.
The integration provides customers with data management capabilities for AI agent deployment across enterprise systems. Organizations can use the combined platform to manage data quality, governance, and integration requirements for AI operations. The acquisition addresses data management requirements for enterprises deploying AI agents that require access to validated data across multiple systems and data sources.
Informatica's partner ecosystem integrations will remain operational, allowing customers to maintain existing data management workflows while accessing Salesforce platform capabilities. The combined offering provides data integration, metadata management, and governance controls through a single platform rather than multiple vendor solutions.
