Salus Cloud, an AI-driven DevSecOps platform, has secured $3.7 million in seed funding to make secure software deployment accessible for startups and SMEs across Africa and the Middle East.
The round was co-led by Atlantica Ventures and P1 Ventures, with participation from LoftyInc Capital, Zedcrest Capital, and angel investor Tim Chen of Essence VC.
Many businesses in these regions still rely on manual processes for software releases, leaving them vulnerable to cyber threats and inefficiencies."Our goal is to democratize enterprise-grade security," said Andrew Mori, Salus Cloud’s CEO. The funding will accelerate product development and expand its AI tools, which automate vulnerability detection and streamline CI/CD pipelines.
Since its 2024 launch, Salus has gained traction with fintech and e-commerce firms by offering usage-based pricing, a key differentiator for cost-conscious teams. Mika Hajjar of P1 Ventures called the platform a "transformational infrastructure" for emerging markets, where outdated tools and talent shortages slow innovation.
The global DevOps market is projected to hit $25.5 billion by 2028, but Africa’s developers often lack resources. Salus targets the 95% of teams without DevOps specialists, combining AI, security, and automation. "This isn’t just about funding, it’s about enabling safer, faster software development," added Ik Kanu of Atlantica Ventures.
