A South African tire manufacturer partnered with Keyrus to upgrade its Tableau reporting environment in order to improve efficiency in stock management and business decision-making.
The company faced recurring challenges with inventory visibility, stock availability, and warehouse planning, relying on Excel reports that were time-consuming to prepare and provided no real-time insights. To address these limitations, management sought a solution capable of standardizing reporting processes, integrating data pipelines, and providing executives and operational managers with consistent access to critical information.
Keyrus collaborated with the manufacturer to redesign its Tableau ecosystem. Through workshops, the teams redefined KPIs, established reporting logic, and created tailored dashboards for different user groups. The engagement also included the automation of Tableau pipelines, the consolidation of warehouse inventory data to strengthen stock forecasting, and the development of a governance model to support long-term performance and scalability.
Following the implementation, the manufacturer achieved measurable improvements in reporting quality and speed. Operational teams now monitor stock levels in real time and can detect potential shortages before they impact the supply chain. Automated dashboards replaced manual Excel reports, freeing time for analysis and planning. Executives gained access to standardized, decision-oriented dashboards, which increased confidence in both reporting and forecasting.
This initiative established a foundation for future analytics development, including AI-based forecasting and predictive modeling, while enabling faster and more reliable decision-making across the organization.
“The customer didn’t just want better visuals, they wanted better decisions. Keyrus team spearheaded the definition of measurables to be tracked and made sure their interpretation was clear and straightforward,” says Adam Walker, General Manager at Keyrus.
