Wanatel, a South African provider of VOIP solutions, has launched eCIRRUS, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform designed specifically for internet service providers (ISPs) and VOIP resellers.
The solution integrates multiple business functions, enabling small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to manage financial processes, customer relationships, inventory, and network operations from a single platform.
According to Evan Damon, the Wholesale Channel Manager at Wanatel, as stated in a report by ITWeb, eCIRRUS is intended to bridge the gap between large corporations, which have long used ERP systems, and smaller telecommunications businesses that need cost-effective, scalable solutions. “This platform addresses the specific challenges of ISPs and VOIP resellers, helping them improve operational efficiency and enhance customer service,” Damon said.
For ISPs, eCIRRUS provides real-time network management, customer support tools, and automated billing systems, reducing manual tasks and minimising errors. The system also helps track network performance and inventory, ensuring that businesses have a clear operational overview.
VOIP integration within eCIRRUS further enhances communication efficiency by automatically linking voice interactions with billing and customer service records. This enables faster issue resolution and a more responsive customer experience.
The official launch of eCIRRUS took place during the Wireless Access Providers Association Regional Meeting on 13 March, where Wanatel showcased the platform’s capabilities to industry stakeholders.
