Quest Software, a global leader in data management, cybersecurity, and platform modernization, has announced a new company strategy and a unified data management platform designed to support organizations in building reliable and scalable data foundations for artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

The strategy is structured around three core priorities for achieving AI readiness: establishing trusted and AI-ready data, securing identities, and modernizing platforms to handle the demands of AI. As part of this initiative, the company introduced the erwin Data Management Platform, which integrates multiple data management capabilities into a single environment.

According to research from MIT and Gartner, most generative AI projects fail to progress beyond pilot stages, underscoring the need for stronger data foundations. Quest’s new platform consolidates data quality, modeling, governance, and metadata management functions, aiming to reduce fragmentation and improve the accuracy of data used for AI systems. The platform also automates key processes for creating and validating data products through a dynamic trust scoring mechanism.

Many organizations continue to operate with fragmented and underutilized data stored across multiple systems, limiting their ability to leverage AI effectively. Quest’s erwin Data Management Platform seeks to address these challenges by centralizing automation and management in a single framework.

Quest Software CEO Tim Page said that the rapid evolution of AI requires new approaches to data management and that the company developed its platform based on insights gathered from enterprise and public sector clients.

The company’s broader strategy also includes advancements in security and modernization. Quest introduced Quest Security Guardian Intelligence, an AI-driven tool designed to detect and respond to identity-related threats across Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID environments. The solution focuses on monitoring both human and non-human identities to mitigate security risks.

Another component of Quest’s strategy focuses on platform migration and modernization in partnership with Microsoft, aimed at supporting organizations in digital transformation and AI adoption initiatives. The company highlights its long-standing collaboration with Microsoft and its Microsoft 365 certification for migration capabilities.
