Remote acquires Atlas to simplify how global teams spend and scale

Acquisition will bolster Remote’s HR and payroll platform with integrated financial tools to streamline operations for modern workforces

Remote, a global employment operating system, has completed the acquisition of Atlas, an expense management platform for distributed teams. The deal expands Remote's product offering into employee financial operations and benefits management.

Atlas, founded by Karen Serfaty and Gianina Rossi, provides companies with tools to manage expenses, stipends, and benefits across borders through a single platform. Its core products include a global employee card with customizable spending rules, a points-based budget allocation system that allows employees to choose their own perks, and an integrated health insurance management tool covering markets including the US, Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina.

Job van der Voort, co-founder and CEO of Remote, said the acquisition addresses ongoing challenges in cross-border financial management for global teams and that Atlas's solutions would be built into Remote's existing platform.
