The updated software provides industry-specific templates and data tools, allowing financial firms to scale their services and handle complex accounts without increasing their workforce.

Sage, a global developer of accounting and business management software, has introduced new artificial intelligence features to its Sage Intacct Advisory platform. The system, which functions as an evolution of the Sage Intacct Accountants Program, is designed to help accounting firms manage operations and deliver consulting services to corporate clients. The update incorporates AI-driven workflows, data migration tools, and industry-specific templates to standardize the process of onboarding new clients and structuring financial service delivery.

Built on the existing Sage Intacct architecture, these technical capabilities allow financial professionals to manage multiple client environments simultaneously. By automating routine financial management, planning, and analytics workflows, the platform reduces the manual effort required to process data. This setup enables accounting firms to offer repeatable advisory services across their client base, while also maintaining the capacity to support large accounts with specific reporting needs, without the requirement to hire additional staff.

Gretchen O’Hara, Executive Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development at Sage, explained the operational context behind the release. “Accounting firms are being asked to do more than ever before: deliver deeper insights, meet rising compliance demands and do it all with less access to talent,” said O'Hara. “With Sage Intacct Advisory firms can standardize delivery, reduce manual work, and spend more time where they add the greatest value – helping clients make smarter strategic decisions.”

The technology targets the operational bottlenecks faced by professional services networks. Keven Truhler, Principal at CLA Digital—the digital consulting division of the accounting and professional services firm CliftonLarsonAllen—highlighted the market demand driving the adoption of such software systems. “Businesses increasingly expect their finance partners to provide deeper insight and more strategic guidance,” said Truhler. “Programs like Sage Intacct Advisory help firms structure and scale those services across a diverse client base while maintaining efficiency. That allows us to deliver more impactful advice and better support organisations as they grow.”
