Salesforce has launched Agentforce for Financial Services, a suite of AI-powered virtual agents designed to help banks, insurers, and wealth managers automate front-office tasks and improve client engagement amid workforce constraints and rising customer expectations.
The financial sector is under pressure: nearly half of the insurance workforce is expected to retire in the next 15 years, and a shortage of 100,000 financial advisors is projected by 2034. At the same time, only 21% of customers say they are fully satisfied with the personalisation they receive, according to Salesforce's Connected Financial Services 2025 report.
“In an industry built on trust, delivering personal and meaningful experiences is everything,” said Eran Agrios, SVP and GM of Financial Services at Salesforce. “AI shouldn’t replace the human connection, it should scale it.”
Agentforce offers pre-built, role-based templates that work natively within Salesforce’s Financial Services Cloud. These digital agents support financial professionals by handling repetitive tasks — such as preparing for investment reviews, processing loan options, and responding to customer service requests — while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Key use cases include:
- Advisor and Banker Agents: Automate meeting preparation and follow-ups, surface client insights, and generate action items to help advisors spend more time building relationships.
- Service Agents for Banking and Insurance: Manage routine service requests, such as fee reversals or credit card cancellations, enabling faster resolution and reducing wait times in contact centers.
- Digital Loan Officer Agent: Assists borrowers with loan product discovery, operating 24/7 to answer questions and streamline application processes.
Each Agentforce template includes customizable “Topics” and “Actions” tailored to financial services workflows. The platform also features built-in compliance controls to support approvals, disclosures, and audit trails — ensuring all digital actions mirror regulatory requirements.
By embedding AI into the day-to-day work of financial institutions, Agentforce aims to free up human capacity for high-value engagements without compromising oversight or trust.
“Financial institutions can tap into digital labour built on a deeply unified platform to help their teams boost productivity, efficiency, and revenue, while still delivering the trusted, personalised experiences their clients expect,” Agrios added.
Agentforce is available now as part of Salesforce Financial Services Cloud.
