SGT Solutions signs partnership to expand Rajant’s Kinetic Mesh in South Africa

A new agreement with Rajant enables SGT Solutions to deliver Kinetic Mesh networks across South Africa, supporting industries that depend on mobile, resilient connectivity. The partnership expands access to distributed wireless systems used in demanding operational environments.

SGT Solutions has formalised a partnership with Rajant Corporation to introduce the company’s Kinetic Mesh wireless technology to the South African market.

The agreement positions SGT Solutions as an official Kinetic Mesh Partner (KMP), giving local industries access to Rajant’s distributed networking architecture. The development was first reported by ITWeb, which highlighted the growing need for connectivity models suited to dynamic industrial operations.

Kinetic Mesh operates as a fully distributed wireless system in which each Rajant BreadCrumb node maintains multiple simultaneous connections to neighbouring nodes. The network uses Rajant’s InstaMesh routing software to adjust automatically as equipment, vehicles or personnel move through an area. This removes the single dependencies found in fixed wireless or point-to-point networks and allows real-time communication for data, video and voice applications.

The technology is suited to sectors where mobility and operational continuity are essential. Mining operations, logistics environments and manufacturing sites often rely on automated machinery, monitoring tools and safety systems that require uninterrupted connectivity. Kinetic Mesh supports these conditions by enabling communication across shifting layouts, harsh terrain and high-density industrial zones.

Rajant’s systems have been implemented in several regions, including South Africa, Brazil, Chile and the United States, where they have supported autonomous equipment, streaming of telemetry and integration with fleet management and collision-avoidance platforms. These deployments illustrate how distributed wireless networks can maintain operational communication where fixed infrastructure faces limitations.
