Veeam® Software, a global leader in Data Resilience, has appointed Allison Cerra as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Reporting directly to CEO Anand Eswaran, Cerra joins Veeam from Alkami Technology, where she served as CMO since 2021. Her extensive leadership experience spans Hewlett Packard Enterprise, McAfee, Intel, and Alcatel-Lucent, providing her with a broad perspective across enterprise technology, cybersecurity, and cloud innovation.
In her role, Cerra will lead Veeam’s global marketing organization, overseeing brand strategy, product marketing, demand generation, events, communications, and digital engagement. She assumes this position as Veeam continues to expand its mission of helping enterprises safeguard and mobilize data for the AI era, enabling organizations to recover quickly, adapt efficiently, and leverage resilience as a strategic advantage.
Cerra succeeds Rick Jackson, who is retiring after a 40-year career, including three-and-a-half years as Veeam’s CMO. Jackson is credited with elevating Veeam’s brand and modernizing its customer and partner engagement strategies.
Recognized as an award-winning marketer and futurist, Cerra is known for translating emerging technology trends into growth strategies. At Alkami Technology, she led brand, demand, and customer engagement initiatives, while her previous roles at HPE and McAfee focused on digital-first go-to-market transformations and re-establishing brand identity, respectively.
Cerra emphasized the importance of data resilience in the AI era, noting that Veeam empowers organizations to trust their data fully, enabling faster and more confident decision-making. Her appointment comes ahead of the VeeamON Global Launch Virtual Event on November 19, where Veeam will showcase the Veeam Data Platform v13 and the new Veeam Recon Scanner, highlighting the company’s latest innovations in data resilience and security.
